Now the Lord had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. - Genesis 12:1-4
During one of my times of prayer last month, the Lord said to me “Abraham faith”. That really stood out to me because whenever I think about Abraham, I think about one of the boldest moves that I’ve ever heard of someone making. By the instruction of the Lord, Abraham packed up his family and all that he had and started walking. With no idea of where he was going, what was next, or what he was about to encounter or be faced with, he moved based on a word. In my opinion, Abraham was and is one of the greatest examples of walking by faith and not by sight.
I believe that we are in a time where the Lord is looking for those who have Abraham faith to just go. The Lord is looking for sons and daughters who will hear the instruction, hear the word, and just obey without hesitation. Unfortunately, many of us have gotten way too comfortable with that and our faith is not where it should be. We would rather hear a person tell us that it’s okay to follow God than to just follow Him without needing or looking for confirmation from someone else.
What would you do if God told you to leave everything you know and take a journey to an unknown destination? What would you do? We are in a time where things are shifting and our comfortability is going to be tried and shaken up. We’re going to have to make a choice as to whether or not we are as dedicated as we say we are. We’re going to have to make a choice as to whether or not we are dedicated enough to God to obey His Word when He speaks, especially when it doesn’t make sense.
Unknown’s can be uncomfortable and uneasy. But, while you may not know what you’re about to walk into or where you are going, the beautiful thing is that the Lord does know and He never steers us in the wrong direction. This is why we must go deeper in this season in reading and studying Scripture.
Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105
We don’t need to know where we are going. All we need is the Word to guide us in the right direction.
So here is my encouragement to you sis….GO! Whatever God is telling you to move on or wherever He may be telling you to move to, don’t hesitate, just do it! Abraham didn’t wait, ask questions, or hesitate, HE MOVED!
Our time here is limited and every moment of every day is the Lord graciously giving us another opportunity to move on His Word! THIS IS A SEASON OF BLIND FAITH! We walk by FAITH, NOT SIGHT!
Now is the time and this is your opportunity!
